Sunday Worship Song

I heard this new song by Francesca Battistelli this morning, and I feel like it pretty much sums up the season of life I'm in right now. For the last three months I feel like I've been analyzing every little thing in my life- Am I making the right decisions? Is this God's will? Could I be interfering with God's will?I wonder what the next year is going to bring?...I could go on and on. The other day I was listening to Beth Moore, and she said something like, "Sometimes I feel like there are 14 people living in my head, and I just want to say, WILL YOU ALL JUST PLEASE SIT DOWN!!!!" I can totally relate. However, what I've learned to be true is that when I tune out all the questions, all the noise, all the daily distractions, and when I begin to focus on the goodness of His glory, His infinite wisdom, and His unfailing love- all my worries, all my questions, all my fears, begin to grow strangely dim. Praise be to God for His peace that passes all understanding. Today I would encourage you to turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and see just how quickly the things of  this earth begin to fade.

  2. So true! I had a dear friend/mentor who told me, "Satan drives (voices, pounding noise to hurry and choose, etc.) but The Holy Spirit leads ('This is the way, walk in it...').

  4. That's such a lovely song! You're right, we need to keep our focus on Jesus! Trying to figure out God's will can be confusing sometimes. We want to please Him but we can get afraid to move forward or back, afraid of making a mistake.....

People can want to please God so much that they are paralyzed about making a simple decision.

Just think about a child going outside to play on the playground. They can choose any toy to play on, as long as they play within the playground boundaries. So they choose the toy that pleases them the most at that moment.

Sometimes our lives are like that, and we can choose anything as long as we stay within God's boundaries.

Just keep going along and trusting God, you'll know what to do when the time comes!

Thank you for your transparency and for linking up to "Making Your Home Sing Monday" today!

  5. Thank you for sharing - this song is a new one for me! Perfect.

I'm reminded of the verse from 2Chronicles 20:12 "...We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you."

  7. So true! When we take our focus off Him and His great love for us, that's when we lose our way. I also felt like I had to just simply focus on praising Him today. It's been awhile since I've done nothing but that! It really felt good!!!
