Sunday Worship Song

This is such a powerful song by Nichole Nordeman. I cried my eyes out when I first heard it a few years ago, so, warning...grab your tissues.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Here are a few things I've been loving this week....

1.) Peanut Butter Pie. This is one of Jeff's favorite desserts, so I decided to make one up tonight. They are so quick and easy to make, and definitely delicious. Here are the directions...

Peanut Butter
Powdered Sugar
Graham Cracker Pie Crust
1 Box Vanilla Pudding
Cool Whip

Place a large amount of peanut butter in a bowl and cover generously with powdered sugar. I don't know the exact amounts, I just eyeball it.

Using your hands, mix together the peanut butter and powdered sugar until it begins to crumble. You may need to add extra sugar if the mixture does not crumble for you. (This is when it begins to taste like the inside of a Reese's Cup:)

Next, layer the bottom of a graham cracker pie crust with the peanut butter crumble.

You will then add vanilla pudding, (I used the instant kind) and then top with another layer of the crumble mixture.

Lastly, top with cool whip and garnish with the remaining peanut butter crumble. (How many times can I say crumble? HaHa. I don't know any other way to describe it.) The result...Absolute Deliciousness!

2.) Spring!  It is probably my favorite season because it is when everything that was dead, is brought back to life. During this season I am reminded that I was once dead in my sins, but thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, I have been given new life.

3.) Speaking of Spring, lastly, I am loving these cute dresses....

Sunday Worship Song

With Easter quickly approaching, I am setting my heart to meditate on the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. So, for the next few weeks, that is what the Sunday Worship songs are going to focus on. I love this beautiful song by Nichole C. Mullen. Hope you enjoy it too. Happy beautiful Sunday to you all!

Couples Photo Shoot

Tonight Jeff and I had some pictures taken at a very upscale studio called Our Couch Photography. Here are a few of our favorites....

Bahahaha... Just kidding! This is what we just spent the last 30 min. doing. I love being married to my best friend who I can laugh and have fun with in the silliest of ways :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Here are a few things I've been loving lately....

1.) My family. About a week and a half ago, me, Jeff, Aaron, Kathleen, and our friend Nate had the opportunity to go up to Indiana to help the tornado victims. We loaded down my brothers SUV with supplies, prayed that the Lord would lead us to the people He wanted us to help, and we were off. We could not get off the Henryville exit because they were not allowing a lot of people to go through. After about an hour or so, we finally got in by taking a back road. Once we arrived we met with one of the State Representatives who suggested that we go to Marysville, as they live in a much smaller community and didn't have as much help. The sight of this small town was unreal. I felt like I was standing in the middle of a movie scene; a very horrible movie scene. Literally nothing in this town was left standing except for the hardware store and the church. The people we met were incredible. Their positive attitudes were humbling to say the least. The first woman that we met with said something I will never forget. The cross on the steeple was bent, but it was still holding on. She looked at us and said, "With God we may be bent, but we'll never be broken." What faith this woman has. Her house was literally scattered all over the ground, but she clearly understood the words of Job, "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised." Please continue to pray for all of the people who were affected by the tornadoes, and do anything you can to help. You may think you can't make a difference, but I promise you can.

2.) P90X. Okay, maybe I should say this is more of a love-hate kind of thing. I love it because of the results you get... I hate it because IT. IS. HARD. The workouts are so intense and definitely not for the faint of heart. I did the cardio and ab workout tonight, and I know I will paying the price tomorrow. Oh well, no pain no gain...right? Tomorrow I plan on doing the back, shoulder, and biceps workout, so we'll see how that goes.

3.) I'm loving these poems by Jimmy Needham. They are very short, but very powerful. Here are a couple that I think are really good...

Marriage Tip Tuesday

Do you ever get into a funk? Well, let me just say I've been in one for a couple of weeks now, hence the fact why I haven't done much blogging. I feel like here lately I've had such a lack of motivation, and I really don't know why. I am starting to feel like myself again, so I hope to get back into my regular mode of posting on an every other day basis, or so. Anyways, now that I've got that off my chest, I wanted to talk about open and honest communication in a marriage. On Sunday I kind of broke down and confessed some things to Jeff that had been weighing really heavy on my heart for quite some time. It was definitely hard to be so vulnerable and I really didn't know how he would respond. Well, his response was not at all what I expected... in fact, it was better than I expected. Jeff is so patient with me and I was truly touched at how loving and gentle he was with me. As I said before, it was extremely difficult to be so honest with him, but I feel like a thousand pounds has been lifted off my chest as a result. If you have something you need to discuss with your spouse, then I would encourage you to do so. However, do keep in mind there is a right and wrong way to go about this. I would not suggest yelling or making your spouse feel guilty for whatever it is you are feeling. When you sit down with your spouse and explain to them in a calm manner, "This is not easy for me to say, but this is how I've felt lately..," I think they will see that you are expressing genuine emotions and respect the fact that you came to them to talk about it.

God of Wonders

Tonight I wanted to take a few minutes to share these pictures from the Hubble Site with you all. I am so amazed when I look at these images, and blown away at just how big and how brilliant our great Creator really is. He truly has put everything in the exact correct place in order for us to live. It's absolutely fascinating, and I will have more to say on that later. As for now, here are the pictures...

This is at the center at the whirlpool galaxy. Coincidence that it's in the shape of the cross? I think not.

The first time I saw this picture it had this caption under it: "God's eye." It really does look like an eye, doesn't it?

How incredible.

"He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name." -Psalm 147:4

"It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts." -Isaiah 45:12

"Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you shining stars."-Psalm 148:3
